Interests

God has blessed us with specific skills and abilities, which we desire to share with others. Below is a list of the things we do. Some of these areas are offered freely as a ministry and others help supplement our income.

Biblical Counseling

Both, Danny and Krista, have received several years of formal training in biblical counseling and serve as counselors through Reilly Springs Baptist Church. Biblical counseling services are offered without cost as a ministry of the church. Common areas of counseling include: marriage and family counseling, conflict resolution, addiction and recovery support, and anxiety and depression, to name a few. Technology

Danny has been interested in technology since high school. Professionally, he has served as the Technology Coordinator for a local school district. He has over 15 years experience in web design, network design and administration, computer software and hardware, business phone systems, access control, video surveillance systems and audio/video equipment. He has certifications broadband wireless administration, broadband routing and switching, and the Google console. His current clients include several local churches and businesses.

Krista also has experience with technology, primarily with helping churches set-up and manage their social media presence. She has overseen the social media pages for all of the churches and ministries that we have been involved with for almost 20 years.

Worldview Studies

In 2018 Danny started leading their oldest son, Nate, through a curriculum called Starting Points, which was developed by Cornerstone Curriculum. In 2019 he was asked to lead other students through this study and has been doing so since that time. Beyond Starting Points, which is for 8th graders, there are four levels of Worldviews of the Western World (also Cornerstone Curriculum), which are intended for high school students. As Christians, it is essential that we equip our children to view the world around us in light of who God is as he has himself revealed to us through his Word. Our kids also need to understand roots of the ideas and philosophies that confront them in our culture. Danny is no longer offering classes to the public, but is available for recommendations and advice for those who are interested. Farmstead

We have drastically scaled back our agricultural pursuits. At one time we had a mini-farmstead with American Blue rabbits and several breeds of chickens, including: Anconas, Black Australorps, Silver Grey Dorkings, Whiting True Blues and Olive Eggers. We still have a beef cow named Daisy that we have raised from a bottle. Duke, our Blue Heeler dog, is always on duty to bark at passing cars and play fetch with anyone who is willing. We are still interested in sustainable farming, permaculture and soil revitalization, but don't have an abundance to time to invest in those hobbies.
