Family

Our family lives in the small community of Reilly Springs, TX, which is about 9 miles south of Sulphur Springs, TX. We homeschool our children and are involved in the CHESS homeschool group in Sulphur Springs, TX. Danny is the Athletic Director for the CHESS sports program and all three kids have been active in CHESS sports over the years. Danny pastors Reilly Springs Baptist Church and works as a freelance technology consultant for local churches and businesses. Krista works as a stay at home mom, taking on the primary responsibility of overseeing the kids' education. She is also heavily involved in church ministry and the CHESS homeschool group. She currently serves on the CHESS board.

Danny

Danny was born in Dallas, TX, but grew up in the community of Flora about 20 minutes northeast of Sulphur Springs. He is a 1996 graduate of Sulphur Bluff High School and a 2000 graduate of Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO. Danny is currently pursuing his Master of Divinity through Faith Bible Seminary in Lafayette, IN. His faith in Jesus Christ is the central focus of his life, as he seeks to glorify God in all that he does, while admittedly falling short often. His interests include spending time with family, reading and agriculture.

Krista

Krista spent the majority of her growing up years in the Philippines, where her family served as missionaries. She graduated high school from Faith Academy in Manila in 1997. After High school, Krista attended Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO graduating in 2001. She is actively involved in homeschooling the kids and overseeing our household. Krista self-identifies as "indoorsy" and enjoys reading, playing board games with the family and hanging out with friends.

Nate

Nate was born in Fort Worth in 2004 just nine weeks before our family moved to Austria. He attended school through second grade at the primary school in the Austrian village of Goessendorf. After we moved back to the States he attended both private school and public school for a year each, but was homeschooled from fifth grade until he graduated in 2022. During his homeschool years he was involved in the CHESS homeschool co-op and sports program. Nate is an avid reader and fan of all things Sci-fi. He has made great strides in learning to play the piano. He is currently attending College of the Ozarks in Point Lookout, MO.

Micah

Micah was born in Graz, Austria in 2006. Like Nate, he has attended public school in Austria and both private and public school in Texas. He was in second grade when our family began homeschooling. Micah plays basketball with CHESS and attends CHESS co-op classes. His interests include animals, fishing and pretty much anything else he can do outdoors. He is a part of the Triple F high school fishing team. Micah is learning to play the drums and the piano is getting quite good at both. He enjoys building things and working with his hands.

Grace

Grace was born in Graz, Austria in 2010. As far as school goes, she has always been homeschooled. Like Micah, she plays basketball with CHESS and also attends co-op classes. She is a part of the Triple F high school fishing team, as well. Grace loves hanging out with friends and being outdoors. She also enjoys spending time with her mom. Art is one of her developing interests, especially painting. She is also coming along very well with learning to play the piano.
